Birthday party option for girls age 6- tweens and teens
Looking for a different way to celebrate a special little girl's birthday. There is a girls spa and salon at Cary Towne Center named Sweet and Sassy. They have the cutest pink stretch limo and bright pastel green Lincoln Navigator for her to ride in. Upon walking in, there is a dress up/costume room and birthday cake areas. Afterwards, you see their little salon, manicure and pedicure stations. The opposite entrance has a gift store geared towards the little girls in the age range that the salon serves.

Boutique taste, small budget for children's clothing
It's the time for fall/winter children's consigment sales. There is an impressive boutique, upscale exclusive children's consignment sale called Divine Consign Show that is coming up at the end of this month. The clothes are thoroughly checked for upscale status and peak condition. Many 'Mom-favorite' children's name brands choose to sell their overstock through Divine Consign show as well. If you enjoy upscale consigned baby and children's clothing, this is the event to get to. I went to their Raleigh show in the spring and was impressed with their carefulness to make sure buyers received the real deal. If they weren't the real deal I would tell you so. Mom's don't have time to waste, and it won't be wasted at one of their events.

Options for Working for Yourself
Have you given self-contracting an option? You can place your information on http://www.guru.com/ and http://www.ifreelance.com/. Companies will pay sales persons through these websites to do the footwork in selling their products and may need local people like yourself. Guru is an international company and ifreelance is national. You never know who needs someone in Raleigh to present their business to possible clients. This would also give you control over your schedule. I am big on self-employment as an option for today instead of waiting to be hired. You may want to present yourself to local large companies as a self-contracted firm for the areas that you mentioned(ie; Johnson Consulting). I will give you an example-When my husband is traveling to another country for his job, his employer pays a company to come in an teach them etiquette for the particular culture so that ignorance won't cost them millions of dollars. That was a great business idea for whomever took there cultural experience from a foreign country and presented it to corporate firms as a way to help them. You can create your own way to help these companies with your skills while working for yourself. Vistaprint.com has awesome and fresh graphics in which to create a logo and more necessary startup items to start your business for free. It doesn't look shabby like most free offers.
